Over the past twelve months, WEG Transformers USA (WEG) has tried to mitigate key transformer material price increases for all distribution transformer products.
Pricing for key transformer commodities remain elevated. WEG would like to point out that our suppliers are passing on these price increases to us. We do not have the financial capacity to absorb these abnormal price increases.
As we foresee volatility throughout 2022, at a high inflationary level, combined with unprecedented long lead times, we have no other course of action than to pass these price increases to all our customers “at time of shipment”. It is to our great disappointment that we are forced to implement the price adjustment model for all distribution products markets as outlined on https://weg.us/material-prices/
Starting March 1, 2022 all our new shipments will reflect this price adjustment model.
We do understand that it is difficult to cope with this particular situation which is beyond our control; hence therefore this notification. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of WEG Transformers USA.
