Over the past few months, WEG Transformers USA has tried to mitigate key transformer material price increases for all products.
Pricing for key transformer commodities remain elevated. WEG would like to point out that our suppliers are passing on these price increases to us. We do not have the financial capacity to absorb these abnormal price increases.
As we foresee volatility throughout 2021 at such a high level, we have no other course of action than to pass these price increases to our customers. It is to our great disappointment that we are forced to increase our “spot market prices” for all products by approximately 10-12%.
Starting March 15, 2021 our new spot quotation requests will reflect these price increases.
We do understand that it is difficult to cope with this particular situation which is beyond our control; hence therefore this notification. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of WEG Transformers USA.
